NICU Wall of Hope

Wall art created to update and modernize the NICU hallway of Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital. A special place where over several decades parents with babies in the NICU could feel hope for their baby, seeing photos of healthy children who had the same or similar diagnosis. The hallway displayed photographs of children that were once in the NICU but had graduated on and grew up. This project occurred in two phases, concluding with a total of 35 different patient stories including multiple births, different diagnosis, ethnicity and ages all lining the hallway of the NICU.

Typography designed to emphasis patient’s name and brief description of diagnosis. Chalkboard illustrations alongside typography to keep with the playfulness of the Children’s Hospital.
